This Christmas we decided to express our unconditional endorsement towards medical workers in the UMBAL "Plovdiv" hospital.
Being a doctor in times like ours requires a lot of altruism and courage. The medical workers in the "UMBAL Plovdiv" hospital have not failed to exhibit these characteristics through their countless efforts to return patients back to health. Therefore, we send them homemade thank-you baskets filled with sweets and drinks (all provided by our club members) as a sign of appreciation for their service.
The head director of the hospital sent us a gratification letter.
Translation:
Dear students,
Your gesture touched our souls! You have proved that you are people with big hearts who are full of compassion, humanity, and approachability.
You are lucky because you are healthy and with your noble initiative you showed your support for the first-line medical workers, who fight every day and every minute for the lives of the sick and injured. For us, it is very special because it comes in a time which is challenging for all of us- the fight with the insidious coronavirus. And the thought that you sympathize with us gives us the strength and courage to keep going.
One is as rich as one can devote to charity. Your act of philanthropy shows that you are infinitely rich.
